Before you accept this
You are about to take part in a real activity, in a real place, with a real person leading it. This page explains what that involves, what you are responsible for, what the Healthmate is responsible for, and what LIFED is responsible for.
It is short and it is direct. Please actually read it.
What this document is
An honest account of the risks that come with wellbeing activity, and a clear division of responsibility between three parties.
What this document is not
A document asking you to give up your rights. Nothing here removes the protection available to you under applicable law.
You cannot sign away your right to be protected from someone else's carelessness, and we are not going to pretend otherwise or ask you to try. Nothing here removes your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or any other law that protects you.
LIFED is operated by Holobiont Private Limited, CIN U86900KL2025PTC093335, registered at Room No. 432/10, Shoranur Govt. Press P.O, Kulappulli, Ottapalam, Palakkad – 679122, Kerala.
“LIFED”, “we” and “us” mean that company. “You” means you, the participant. “Healthmate” means the person, centre, community or organiser running the program.
These Participation Terms form part of the LIFED Seeker Terms and Conditions .
What you are taking part in
1.1 A LIFED program is a wellbeing experience. Depending on what you booked, it may involve:
- physical movement, stretching, strength work or functional training;
- breathwork, including techniques that change your breathing pattern;
- walking or moving on natural, uneven or outdoor terrain;
- water activity;
- heat or cold exposure;
- bodywork, massage or hands-on adjustment;
- meditation, silence or extended reflective practice;
- dietary change, fasting periods or unfamiliar food;
- unfamiliar accommodation and travel to reach it.
1.2 Your program page describes what is actually involved in your program. Read it. If something worries you, ask before you book.
1.3 A LIFED program is not medical care. It is not treatment, therapy, rehabilitation, diagnosis or a substitute for professional advice.
Nothing offered on LIFED diagnoses, treats, cures or prevents a medical or mental-health condition.
1.4 If you have a health concern, please speak to a qualified healthcare professional.
The risks you are accepting, and the ones you are not
2.1 Some risk cannot be removed. Even where a program is competently run in a safe environment, wellbeing activities can carry ordinary risks.
- muscle soreness, strains, sprains and cramps;
- slips, trips and falls;
- dizziness, light-headedness or fainting;
- aggravation of an existing injury or condition;
- allergic or adverse reactions to food, oils, herbs or plant preparations;
- physical or emotional discomfort;
- emotional distress during reflective or silent practice;
- insect bites, sunburn, dehydration and weather exposure;
- ordinary travel risks.
The ordinary risks inherent in the activity you chose, where that activity is disclosed and delivered with reasonable care and skill.
- negligence or carelessness;
- unsafe premises or equipment;
- inadequate supervision;
- material misdescription;
- missing required licences;
- undisclosed activities or techniques;
- misconduct.
2.4 The distinction matters. A disclosed activity, competently delivered, that causes an inherent injury is different from that same activity being delivered carelessly, by someone unqualified, or in an unsafe environment.
Nothing in these Terms limits your rights in the latter situation.
2.5 Accepting risk is not the same as agreeing not to complain. If something goes wrong, report it under Section 7.
Your health is your call, and your responsibility
3.1 You assess your own fitness to take part. You know your body and your history. Nobody at LIFED or at the venue can know those things unless you tell them.
3.2 Complete your health declaration honestly
Before attending, tell us and your Healthmate about anything that could make participation unsafe for you or others, including:
- heart conditions, blood-pressure issues or previous cardiac events;
- respiratory conditions including asthma;
- epilepsy or seizure disorders;
- diabetes;
- pregnancy or recent childbirth;
- recent surgery or current injury;
- chronic pain, joint, back or spinal conditions;
- food, topical or environmental allergies;
- current medication;
- mental-health conditions or a recent crisis;
- dietary requirements and restrictions.
3.3 Obtain medical clearance before booking where you are unsure whether participation is suitable, particularly in circumstances involving pregnancy, cardiac conditions, recent surgery, heat, cold, fasting, altitude or intense breathing.
3.4 If your health changes after booking, tell LIFED and the Healthmate before you arrive.
3.5 Healthmates rely on what you disclose to adapt activities or advise you not to participate where appropriate.
3.6 On the day
- Follow safety instructions and house rules, and use equipment as shown.
- Stop if something hurts. Resting, modifying or opting out is always acceptable.
- Tell your Healthmate immediately if you feel unwell, dizzy, in pain or distressed.
- Consent to hands-on adjustment or bodywork is yours to give and withdraw.
- Do not participate under the influence of alcohol or intoxicants where prohibited.
3.7 Your health declaration is confidential. It is provided to the Healthmate hosting you and is not shared with another seeker, another Healthmate or your employer.
See our Privacy Policy .
LEWIS is a reflection tool, and nothing more
LEWIS is an optional feature that helps you think about your wellbeing across nine areas and points you toward programs that may suit you.
4.2 LEWIS is:
- not a diagnosis;
- not a clinical assessment or screening test;
- not a medical opinion;
- not a fitness clearance;
- not a pass, fail or health score;
- not required to search, browse or book on LIFED.
4.3 LEWIS never claims to treat, cure or prevent anything.
If you see language on LIFED suggesting otherwise, contact support@lifedhealth.com .
4.4 If you have a medical concern, seek professional healthcare advice rather than relying on LEWIS, a program description, or something a Healthmate tells you.
LIFED is not a crisis service. If you are in immediate distress or at risk of harming yourself, seek urgent local support or emergency medical assistance.
In India, Tele-MANAS provides 24/7 mental-health support on 14416 .
4.6 Your LEWIS reflections remain yours. They are not shared individually with a Healthmate, another seeker or an employer.
What LIFED is responsible for
We are responsible for these things, and you can hold us to them:
5.1 Verifying Healthmates. Checking relevant identity, business, qualifications, licences, venue information and applicable permits before listing.
5.2 Curating programs. Shaping and validating programs against the LIFED standard before they go live.
5.3 Honest, non-clinical descriptions. Publishing accurately and refusing clinical treatment or cure claims.
5.4 Requiring safety provision. Healthmates must maintain appropriate safety, supervision, first aid, emergency protocols and required permits.
5.5 Secure payment handling. Payments are processed through a regulated payment partner with an all-in booking price.
5.6 Fair dispute handling. Complaints are acknowledged, investigated with both sides and resolved with written reasons.
5.7 Protecting your data. This includes the commitments in our Privacy Policy.
5.8 Acting on safety reports. Reports may result in investigation, suspension or removal.
5.9 Operating the platform with reasonable skill and care.
5.10 Verification reduces risk but is not a guarantee of how a program will be delivered on a particular day.
What LIFED is not responsible for
6.1 Program delivery. The venue, sessions, food, accommodation, equipment and delivery team are the Healthmate's responsibility.
6.2 Injury caused by an inherent risk accepted under Section 2.2 where the disclosed activity was competently delivered.
6.3 Outcomes. LIFED does not guarantee any particular wellbeing result from a program.
6.4 Healthmate acts and omissions
- An inherent risk from a disclosed activity, competently delivered, is dealt with under Section 2.2.
- An undisclosed activity or technique, or one you did not consent to, is not a risk you accepted.
- Careless delivery of a disclosed activity is negligence, not an accepted inherent risk.
6.5 LIFED is not responsible for the independent conduct of other participants or unrelated people.
6.6 External events such as natural disasters, epidemics, government restrictions, transport disruption and infrastructure failure are handled according to the Cancellation and Refund Policy .
6.7 Your own decisions, including ignoring safety instructions or concealing material health information, remain your responsibility.
6.8 Your travel, visas, insurance and belongings remain your responsibility.
6.9 Payments and arrangements made outside LIFED are outside our booking system.
Emergencies, and reporting when something goes wrong
7.1 Every Healthmate must maintain appropriate first aid provision, a written emergency protocol and contact information for the nearest medical facility.
7.2 If you cannot consent during an emergency, the Healthmate may arrange medical assistance. Medical treatment costs remain yours.
Your emergency contact may be contacted where there is a serious incident.
7.3 We strongly recommend travel and medical insurance for residential programs. It is required for international participants.
Tell the Healthmate immediately and contact LIFED within 24 hours, or as soon as reasonably possible.
Email: support@lifedhealth.com
7.5 Every safety report is investigated. A program or Healthmate may be suspended while the investigation takes place.
7.6 Making a safety or misconduct report does not worsen your refund position or place a penalty on your account.
7.7 LIFED has a zero-tolerance position on harassment, non-consensual physical contact, discrimination and intimidation.
A credible allegation may result in immediate suspension pending investigation, a full refund to anyone affected, support where they choose to report to authorities, and permanent removal where the allegation is upheld.
We do not require confidentiality agreements as a condition of refund or settlement in misconduct cases.
Limits on LIFED's liability, and what can never be limited
8.1 Where LIFED is liable to you, our total liability for claims connected with a booking is limited to the greater of:
- the amount paid for that booking; or
- ₹1,00,000.
8.2 LIFED is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost opportunity, lost profit, travel or accommodation booked elsewhere, or loss or damage to belongings.
8.3 What can never be limited
- death or personal injury caused by negligence;
- fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
- gross negligence or wilful misconduct;
- anything that cannot lawfully be excluded;
- your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
8.4 If part of this section is unenforceable, that part is treated as removed without invalidating the remainder.
8.5 Nothing prevents you from bringing a claim directly against a Healthmate.

9.3 You retain every right to complain or claim where negligence, unsafe premises, misrepresentation, misconduct or breach is involved.
9.4 You are responsible for direct loss caused by your own breach of these Terms, including damage to property or harm caused through materially concealed health information.
This does not extend to losses caused by someone else's negligence or breach.

9.6 LIFED carries responsibility for its own negligence, its own breaches and claims arising from intellectual-property infringement by the LIFED platform itself.
