Know Thyself: Embodied Awareness Yoga Program
A five-day yoga program to move better, breathe fuller, and feel at home in your body.
About this program
Most of us have developed a complicated relationship with our own bodies, not through injury or illness, but through the quiet accumulation of modern life. Hours at a desk. Shoulders that creep upward. Breath that never quite reaches the belly. A persistent low-level tension we've stopped noticing because it's simply become normal.
Know Thyself: Embodied Awareness Yoga Program is a structured 5-day yoga sessions - Monday to Friday, 1 week (Each session: 90 minutes 10:30 AM β 12:00 PM) immersion designed to change that - session by session, breath by breath. Rooted in classical Hatha yoga and the ancient philosophical principle of self-knowledge, this program uses movement, breath, and guided awareness as tools for genuine body literacy. It is not a fitness class. It is not a performance. It is a guided re-introduction to yourself to how you actually sit, stand, breathe, and hold tension in your body every single day.
The program is led by Krishnakumar, a Yoga Alliance certified and Ministry of AYUSH accredited yoga teacher with international teaching experience. His approach is precise without being clinical, and accessible without being superficial. He teaches in small cohorts of no more than 15 participants ensuring every person receives individual attention, individual modification, and individual postural guidance throughout the week.

Participants identify their personal tension patterns for the first time - a foundation for everything that follows
Body mapping and postural assessment; spinal and joint mobility warm-up; introduction to diaphragmatic breath
Alignment-based asana practice

Deep spinal sequencing: forward folds, gentle twists, supported backbends; introduction to Nadi Shodhana pranayama
Breathwork & pranayama
Benefits:
The session where most participants report a palpable nervous system shift; trains conscious downregulation
Pranayama-centred session - Hatha movement woven around breath rather than the other way around; Bhramari and Kumbhaka introduced

Krishnakumar
Yoga Teacher & Embodied Wellness Facilitator
Qualifications:
Yoga Alliance Certified (RYT) Β· Ministry of AYUSH, India Accredited Β· Wellness Tourism Background Β· International Teaching Experience
Krishnakumar's relationship with yoga began not in a studio, but in a genuine search for understanding his own body - a journey that took him from classical Hatha training in India to teaching across multiple countries. Certified by Yoga Alliance and the Ministry of AYUSH, India, he brings a dual lens to every session: the precision of alignment science and the patience of a teacher who believes the body always knows more than the mind thinks it does.
His specialisations - Hatha yoga, postural correction, functional mobility, and guided pranayama - are taught not as techniques to execute, but as tools for genuine self-knowledge. He is particularly skilled at making structured practice accessible, safe, and immediately relevant to people navigating modern bodies and sedentary work lives.
During our recent holiday in Kochi, Kerala, we had the privilege of training with an exceptional yoga instructor Krishnakumar who truly elevated our experience. Over the course of a few days, he guided us through sessions that were thoughtfully designed to combine strength, calmness, flexibility, and seamless flow.
KK sir's ability to translate complex information into easily accessible concepts in first class. Having studied anatomy with him , I now have an increased understanding of my own body and feel confident that I can effectively pass this information on to my own students to enhance their practice.
Know Thyself is structured as a 5-day learning arc, not a repeated yoga class. Each session builds on the last - from body mapping on Day 1, to spinal sequencing and breath on Days 2β3, to functional mobility and chair yoga on Day 4, and full integration on Day 5. Participants develop actual body literacy, not just a workout. The program's intellectual anchor - the Socratic principle of self-knowledge applied physically β sets it apart. Participants do not simply stretch; they learn why their body holds tension where it does, why their breath is shallow, and which postural patterns their daily life has quietly built. This is yoga as self-education. Krishnakumar's combination of Yoga Alliance and AYUSH credentials, international experience, and small-cohort format ensures every participant is genuinely seen and guided individually.
